In order to confirm the existence, in the Doñana National Park, of a species of carnivorous bats that feed on small birds and migratory birds, the CSIC and Publi-Zeppelines have collaborated in a research project.
These bats fly at altitudes of over 400 m and, to confirm their presence, we hung an ultrasound system capable of measuring the noises emitted by these peculiar animals from a helium sphere for an entire night. The equipment, weighing just over 1 kg, was lifted by a particularly light inflatable balloon made of polyurethane.
